Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Lingolem is a language-learning application operated by Halit Oğuz Çetin in Türkiye. In this policy, “Lingolem,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Lingolem application and website.

2. Information we collect

Account and profile information

We may process your email address, authentication provider and account identifier, chosen username, golem name and appearance, interface language, and the language you choose to learn. If you use Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the account details those services make available to us according to your settings.

Learning and gameplay information

We process lesson progress, answers and completion results, vocabulary review history, experience points, streaks, rewards, virtual balances, inventory, league participation, friend connections, and similar activity needed to provide the service.

Purchases and subscriptions

When you make a purchase, Apple App Store or Google Play handles your payment. We and our subscription infrastructure provider, RevenueCat, receive purchase status, product, entitlement, transaction, platform, and account-linking information. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number.

Technical, security, and support information

We may process app version, platform, network and diagnostic information, security events, and limited activity events used to operate, protect, and improve Lingolem. Cloudflare Turnstile may process device and network signals during security checks. When the app crashes or hits an error, Sentry receives a crash report with the error details, app version, device model, and operating system; these reports do not include your email address, name, or account identifier. If you contact us, we process your email address, message, attachments, and the information needed to resolve your request.

3. How we use information

• create and secure your account;
• save progress and personalize your learning experience;
• operate friends, leagues, rewards, and purchases;
• prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized transactions;
• provide support and respond to privacy requests;
• measure reliability and improve the service; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

Depending on where you live, our legal bases may include performing our contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Public and social information

Your username, golem name and appearance, and selected achievement or leaderboard information may be visible to other Lingolem users. Do not use your legal name or other sensitive information as a public username or golem name.

5. Service providers and sharing

We share information only as needed to operate Lingolem, complete transactions, protect users, or comply with law. Providers may include Supabase for authentication and application data; Apple and Google for sign-in, distribution, and billing; RevenueCat for subscriptions and purchase verification; Sentry for crash and error reporting; Cloudflare for website hosting and security, which receives visitors’ IP addresses and browser details; and Hostinger for support email. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy commitments.

We do not sell personal information and do not use third-party advertising SDKs for cross-app targeted advertising. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business reorganization subject to appropriate safeguards.

6. International transfers

Our providers may process information in countries other than yours: Supabase and Sentry store data in Germany, RevenueCat in the United States, and Cloudflare and Hostinger operate international networks. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers and take steps intended to protect the information consistently with applicable law.

7. Retention

We keep account and progress information while your account is active and for only as long as reasonably necessary afterward. Support correspondence, security records, and transaction records may be retained longer where needed for fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; or complain to a competent data-protection authority. To make a request, email privacy@lingolem.appfrom your registered email address. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

9. Children and minimum age

Lingolem is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. You must be at least 13 to create an account, and in places where a higher age of digital consent applies you must have authorization from a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child provided personal information contrary to these rules, contact us so we can review and act.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure, so use a unique password, protect your sign-in methods, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized account activity.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Lingolem changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required. For questions or requests, contact us at privacy@lingolem.app.

KVKK Aydınlatma Metni (Türkçe)

Bu metin, 6698 sayılı Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu (“KVKK”) 10. maddesi uyarınca hazırlanmıştır. Yukarıdaki İngilizce politika ile birlikte okunmalıdır.

1. Veri sorumlusu

Kişisel verileriniz, Türkiye’de yerleşik gerçek kişi Halit Oğuz Çetin (“Lingolem”) tarafından veri sorumlusu sıfatıyla işlenir. İletişim: privacy@lingolem.app.

2. İşlenen kişisel veriler

• Kimlik ve iletişim: e-posta adresi, kullanıcı adı, golem adı, Apple veya Google ile girişte bu hizmetlerin paylaştığı hesap bilgileri.
• Müşteri işlem: ders ilerlemesi, cevaplar, tekrar geçmişi, XP, seri, ödüller, envanter, lig ve arkadaşlık bilgileri.
• Satın alma: ürün, abonelik durumu, işlem ve platform bilgisi. Kart bilgileriniz Apple veya Google’da kalır; bize ulaşmaz.
• İşlem güvenliği ve teknik veriler: uygulama sürümü, cihaz modeli, işletim sistemi, hata ve çökme raporları, güvenlik kontrolü sinyalleri.
• Destek talepleri: e-posta yazışmaları ve eklentileri.

3. İşleme amaçları ve hukuki sebepler

Verileriniz hesabınızı oluşturmak ve korumak, ilerlemenizi saklamak, arkadaş, lig, ödül ve satın alma özelliklerini çalıştırmak, kötüye kullanımı ve dolandırıcılığı önlemek, destek taleplerini yanıtlamak, uygulamanın güvenilirliğini ölçmek ve yasal yükümlülükleri yerine getirmek amacıyla işlenir.

Bu işlemler KVKK m.5/2 kapsamında; bir sözleşmenin kurulması veya ifasıyla doğrudan ilgili olması (c), veri sorumlusunun hukuki yükümlülüğünü yerine getirmesi (ç), bir hakkın tesisi, kullanılması veya korunması (e) ve temel hak ve özgürlüklerinize zarar vermemek kaydıyla meşru menfaatimiz (f) hukuki sebeplerine dayanır.

4. Toplama yöntemi

Veriler; uygulama, web sitesi ve e-posta üzerinden elektronik ortamda, kısmen otomatik yollarla, sizin girdiğiniz bilgilerden ve uygulamayı kullanımınızdan toplanır.

5. Aktarım

Veriler, yalnızca hizmetin sunulması için gerekli ölçüde, bizim adımıza veri işleyen şu hizmet sağlayıcılara aktarılır:

• Supabase: hesap, kimlik doğrulama ve uygulama verileri (Almanya, Frankfurt sunucuları);
• Sentry: çökme ve hata raporları (Almanya sunucuları);
• RevenueCat: abonelik ve satın alma doğrulama (ABD);
• Cloudflare: web sitesi barındırma ve güvenlik (ziyaretçilerin IP adresi ve tarayıcı bilgileri; küresel ağ);
• Hostinger: destek e-postası;

Apple veya Google ile giriş ve mağaza ödemeleri, bu şirketlerin kendi hizmetleri üzerinden ve kendi gizlilik politikalarına göre yürütülür. Yasal zorunluluk hâlinde yetkili kamu kurumlarına da aktarım yapılabilir.

Bu sağlayıcıların sunucuları Türkiye dışındadır. Yurt dışına aktarım KVKK m.9 kapsamında yapılır ve uygun güvence olarak Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu’nca ilan edilen standart sözleşmeler esas alınır. Standart sözleşmeyi imzalayan sağlayıcılarla imzalanan sözleşmeler, imzadan itibaren beş iş günü içinde Kurum’a bildirilir.

6. Haklarınız

KVKK m.11 uyarınca;

• kişisel verilerinizin işlenip işlenmediğini öğrenme,
• işlenmişse buna ilişkin bilgi talep etme,
• işlenme amacını ve amacına uygun kullanılıp kullanılmadığını öğrenme,
• yurt içinde veya yurt dışında aktarıldığı üçüncü kişileri bilme,
• eksik veya yanlış işlenmişse düzeltilmesini isteme,
• KVKK m.7’deki şartlar çerçevesinde silinmesini veya yok edilmesini isteme,
• düzeltme, silme ve yok etme işlemlerinin verilerin aktarıldığı üçüncü kişilere bildirilmesini isteme,
• münhasıran otomatik sistemlerle analiz edilmesi sonucu aleyhinize bir sonuç çıkmasına itiraz etme,
• kanuna aykırı işleme nedeniyle zarara uğramanız hâlinde zararın giderilmesini talep etme

haklarına sahipsiniz.

7. Başvuru

Başvurularınızı, sistemimizde kayıtlı e-posta adresinizden privacy@lingolem.app adresine gönderebilirsiniz. Başvurular en geç 30 gün içinde ücretsiz olarak sonuçlandırılır. Başvurunuzun reddedilmesi veya cevabı yetersiz bulmanız hâlinde Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu’na şikâyette bulunabilirsiniz. Hesabınızı uygulama içinden veya lingolem.app/delete-account sayfasındaki adımlarla da silebilirsiniz.
